The Stadium & Arena Events staff takes pride in operating three facilities: Rice-Eccles Stadium, Jon M. Huntsman Center, and the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Cauldron Park and Visitors Center. We implement the most modern techniques used in the industry today, and are committed to continued excellence of events, superb facility maintenance and quality customer service.
Rice-Eccles Stadium is the premier stadium of the Intermountain region serving the six-state area of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Nevada. By playing host to a variety of events such as the 2002 Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, EA Sports Supercross, World Class Soccer, various concerts including U2, the Rolling Stones and ‘N Sync, and of course football games, Rice-Eccles Stadium has provided entertainment to fans of all interests and ages.
The Jon M. Huntsman Center arena is home to the University of Utah's men's and women's basketball teams, and women's gymnastics team. Events held at the arena also include concerts, the annual commencement ceremony for University of Utah graduates, NCAA basketball tournaments and NCAA Gymnastic Championships.
The Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Cauldron Park and Visitor's Center are adjacent to Rice-Eccles Stadium and preserve the legacy of the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition to being a popular spot for tourists to relive the very best of the XIX Olympic Winter Games, the Visitors Center and Theater are available for private rental for a truly unique special event.
